History of The Arbortech
Corporation
|
Arbortech Corporation (AC)
first opened its doors in 1981, essentially to represent
oil/water separation products manufactured by a company in
the southeast US, from which AC’s founder had departed to begin
this new venture. Appointing himself as its independent
north-central Midwest sales arm; leaving his position as its
National Sales Manager to satisfy a family desire to return to
their home region, he enjoyed early success and added product
lines and personnel to support the endeavor.
Arbortech’s focal point in
its early years was system/component sales of equipment
manufactured by others, but, as the company transitioned from
tackling end-of-pipe wastewater treatment projects to evaluating
recycling applications, a niche opportunity became obvious – one
with no “plug and play” technology to satisfy it. Cleaning
chemistries – those used in parts’ washers, floor scrubbers,
pressure sprayers, pre-painting, pre-powdercoating, pre-plating
wash tanks, etc., were perceived as waste streams, often being
hauled away because of operating parameters that far exceeded
what could be tolerated by existing reclamation systems.
Beginning with custom
modifications to units built elsewhere, by 1992 AC was
manufacturing its own equipment to reclaim aqueous cleaners.
Then, as the new millennium approached, the company’s ongoing
field prototype work for its breakthrough Washer Washers
(equipment where extreme operating temperature and/or pH no
longer preclude recycling) concluded, achieving 100% success...
and the Illinois Governor’s Pollution Prevention Award for
Manufacturers to boot.
The rest, as they say, is
history. Each passing month reveals further process refinements
and records more triumphs, wherever Arbortech Corporation’s
Washer Washers are demonstrated, pilot tested and installed.
Now that you know the technology exists, are you ready to save
money on your water-based cleaning operations? |
